Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Airborne Sensor Operator with 2+ years of relevant experience in Airborne LiDAR, Aerial Survey, Aerial Mapping, or Geospatial Data Acquisition. The candidate will be responsible for operating airborne sensors, monitoring real-time data acquisition, performing sensor checks, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality survey data during flight missions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate airborne sensors such as LiDAR, aerial cameras, and other survey sensors during flight missions.
• Perform pre-flight checks, sensor calibration, configuration, installation, and alignment.
• Monitor sensor performance and real-time data acquisition during flight operations.
• Ensure accurate, complete, and high-quality survey data collection.
• Coordinate with pilots and flight crew regarding mission plans, flight paths, and survey objectives.
• Review flight plans and survey parameters to ensure correct sensor configuration and alignment.
• Perform in-flight quality checks and adjust sensor settings when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve sensor or data acquisition issues during flight operations.
• Record flight parameters, sensor settings, environmental conditions, and operational observations.
• Secure, verify, and back up collected survey data after each mission.
• Conduct post-flight sensor and equipment checks.
• Document flight operations, sensor performance, data quality, issues encountered, and corrective actions.
• Follow operational, safety, and data-quality procedures.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in Airborne LiDAR / Aerial Survey / Aerial Mapping.
• Experience operating LiDAR sensors and/or airborne survey cameras.
• Knowledge of LiDAR data acquisition and airborne survey operations.
• Knowledge of sensor calibration, configuration, installation, and alignment.
• Experience with pre-flight and post-flight equipment checks.
• Basic knowledge of GNSS/GPS, IMU/INS and flight parameters.
• Ability to perform real-time data monitoring and quality checks.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of GIS, Remote Sensing, and Photogrammetry.
• Good documentation and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel and work according to flight mission schedules.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Geospatial Technology, Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing, GIS, Photogrammetry, or a related field.

Experience

2+ years of relevant experience in Airborne LiDAR, Aerial Survey, Sensor Operations, Aerial Mapping, or Geospatial Data Acquisition.
