Role Overview The Marketing AI Automation & Agent Developer will support the Marketing organization by designing, building, testing, and maintaining AI-enabled agents, automations, and intelligent workflows that reduce manual work, improve operational speed, and help scale marketing execution. This role is primarily responsible for the hands-on development and operationalization of AI-enabled solutions across the marketing technology ecosystem, including agent configuration, workflow automation, prompt and knowledge design, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement. This role will support future-forward Marketing priorities, including AI-assisted campaign operations, lead flow support, platform workflow automation, service desk reduction, process optimization, content and web operations support, and more scalable ways of working across marketing systems. The role is not intended to be a traditional data science or enterprise AI research role instead, it is focused on practical, business-facing AI and automation use cases that can be deployed, measured, governed, and improved over time. This role will operate within a broader U.S.-led Marketing Technology & Operations team structure, partnering closely with team leadership, platform owners, Web Operations, Integrated Data & Analytics, Demand Center, IT and our AI Hub, and business stakeholders to identify manual processes, define automation requirements, build AI-enabled solutions, validate outputs, and ensure solutions are accurate, secure, usable, and aligned to marketing business needs. Key Responsibilities Design, build, test, and maintain AI-enabled agents, assistants, and workflow automations that support Marketing Operations, campaign execution, platform operations, lead management, web operations, and stakeholder support processes. Translate defined business requirements and manual process pain points into practical AI and automation solutions that reduce repetitive work, improve speed, and increase operational scalability. Develop and maintain agent instructions, prompts, knowledge sources, workflows, rules, escalation logic, and human-in-the-loop controls to ensure AI-enabled outputs are accurate, useful, and governed. Support automation across marketing technology workflows, including intake, campaign operations, list and audience processes, lead flow support, platform ticket triage, QA tasks, documentation, and operational reporting inputs. Partner with U.S.-based team leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize AI and automation use cases, validate requirements, test outputs, and refine solutions based on user feedback and performance data. Work closely with platform administrators, data and analytics resources, and IT partners to ensure AI-enabled workflows are connected to the right systems, data sources, permissions, and operational processes. Conduct testing, QA, monitoring, and troubleshooting for AI agents and automations, including accuracy checks, failure analysis, regression testing, and continuous optimization. Document agent logic, automation workflows, prompts, data dependencies, governance rules, known limitations, and support processes so solutions can be maintained and scaled. Support responsible AI practices, including appropriate data usage, access controls, quality checks, review processes, and escalation paths for business-critical workflows. Stay current on emerging AI, agentic workflow, and automation capabilities and recommend practical ways Marketing Operations can use new functionality to reduce manual effort and improve operational performance. Required Skills and Experience Hands-on experience building or configuring AI agents, copilots, chatbots, workflow automations, or intelligent assistants in a business environment. Experience with AI-enabled platforms, low-code/no-code automation tools, or agent development environments such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Salesforce Agentforce/Einstein capabilities, Workato, Power Automate, Zapier, or similar tools is preferred. Strong understanding of prompt design, knowledge configuration, workflow logic, testing methods, and human-in-the-loop review processes. Ability to analyze manual processes, identify automation opportunities, and translate business needs into practical technical workflows. Experience working with APIs, integrations, webhooks, scripting, or lightweight development in JavaScript, Python, SQL, or similar languages is preferred but not required for every use case. Familiarity with Salesforce, marketing automation, campaign operations, lead routing, conversational marketing, or broader martech platforms is preferred. Strong QA mindset with the ability to test AI outputs, identify failure patterns, troubleshoot issues, and improve accuracy over time. Ability to document automation logic, prompts, workflows, dependencies, and operational support processes in a clear and reusable way. Comfort working with cross-functional stakeholders in a global team environment and adjusting solutions based on feedback. Understanding of responsible AI practices, including data privacy, access control, governance, risk mitigation, and appropriate escalation paths. Strong attention to detail, curiosity, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn new AI, automation, and martech capabilities quickly. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on AI and automation builder who can turn business process pain points into working solutions. This person does not need to be a pure machine learning engineer, but should be highly comfortable building, testing, and improving AI-enabled agents, automations, and workflow tools that help Marketing Operations move faster and reduce manual effort. This person should be practical, curious, technically capable, and comfortable working across both technical and non-technical teams. They should understand that successful AI adoption requires strong requirements, clean workflows, testing, governance, and ongoing optimization. They should bring a future-forward mindset while remaining focused on solutions that can be deployed, supported, and trusted by the business. Success Measures AI-enabled agents and automations reduce manual work across Marketing Operations and improve speed, consistency, and scalability. Priority use cases are translated into practical, tested, and governed solutions that stakeholders can use confidently. Agent instructions, workflow logic, prompts, data dependencies, and known limitations are documented and maintainable. Automation solutions improve operational efficiency across campaign operations, lead management, platform support, web operations, and stakeholder intake processes. AI-enabled workflows include appropriate QA, monitoring, escalation, and human-in-the-loop controls. The role works effectively with platform, web, data, IT, and business stakeholders to identify and deliver high-impact automation opportunities.
