Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AI/ML Engineer – Foundation AI Model role based in Mumbai. The role involves designing, training, and optimizing foundation models and neural network architectures tailored to governance, welfare, and financial intelligence use cases. The AI/ML Engineer will work on data preprocessing, feature engineering, pattern recognition, and model evaluation, ensuring robustness, fairness, and explainability. Day-to-day tasks include implementing algorithms, experimenting with new architectures, collaborating with domain experts, and deploying models within secure, scalable systems. The role also includes documenting methodologies, participating in code reviews, and aligning solutions with responsible AI and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in

Computer Science , including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

• Applied expertise in

Neural Networks and modern deep learning architectures for large-scale or foundation models.

• Proficiency in

Pattern Recognition for complex, real-world datasets across governance and financial domains.

• Solid understanding of

Statistics for model evaluation, hypothesis testing, and performance analysis.

• Ability to design and implement efficient

Algorithms for training, inference, and optimization of AI systems.

• Hands-on experience with Python and common ML/DL frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and MLOps tooling.
• Experience with RAG, LLMs, or foundation models, and familiarity with responsible AI practices and model governance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work on-site in Mumbai.
