About the Role

We are expanding our next-generation enterprise AI team, focused on architecting and delivering advanced Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation solutions. As a Lead AI Developer based in Hyderabad, you will direct a talented, high-performing 8+ member squad of software and AI engineers to transform enterprise architectures and complex customer demands into highly robust, production-ready Python services. This is a pivotal role that perfectly balances hands-on, high-level software development with tech-lead responsibilities, including code quality management, cross-functional mentoring, and active client-facing representation. Because you will interact directly with customers and key stakeholders, exceptional communication is a non-negotiable requirement. You must be comfortable wearing multiple hats—frequently shifting from technical contributor and code-reviewer to scrum lead, client consultant, and systems architect.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and perform regular code reviews for a high-performing 8+ member squad of AI and backend developers to ensure robust coding standards and architectural alignment.
• Wear multiple hats, seamlessly transitioning between high-level client advisory, hands-on backend software development, agile task coordination, and technical mentorship.
• Leverage the Databricks AI ecosystem (including MLflow, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Lakehouse) to manage and scale enterprise data, features, and model pipelines.
• Develop core Python code to build autonomous AI Agents, advanced multi-agent workflows, and dynamic RAG frameworks using LangGraph or LangChain.
• Implement and scale RESTful APIs utilizing FastAPI, secure enterprise connectors, and cloud-native microservices architecture.
• Act as a primary technical point of contact for external and internal client stakeholders, conducting technical demos, mapping business requirements, and leading alignment workshops.
• Deploy and monitor enterprise AI workflows across multi-cloud environments (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI).
• Define and champion MLOps and LLMOps processes including continuous integration, model evaluation, tracking, and observability.
• Build secure integrations via MCP (Model Context Protocol), tool calling, and enterprise application connectors.
• Partner with the Principal AI Architect to bridge the gap between design templates and production deployments.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of total software engineering experience, with 5+ years of dedicated professional Python development.
• At least 2+ years leading a developer team of up to 8+ members, managing code reviews, establishing standards, and coordinating task delivery.
• Exceptional communication, articulation, and client-facing stakeholder management skills. Must have a proven ability to play a multi-hat role in a fast-paced client-serving environment.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks AI platform features (Databricks Lakehouse, MLflow, Unity Catalog) for enterprise-scale AI deployment.
• Strong experience with Generative AI development, including RAG architectures, custom embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
• Solid experience with MLOps/LLMOps lifecycles, and evaluation/monitoring pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-native frameworks on AWS, GCP, or Azure, particularly Bedrock, Vertex AI, or Azure OpenAI.
• Comfort and competence in translating ambiguous client requirements into clean, practical developer tasks.

Strong Pluses:

· Hands-on experience with orchestration layers like LangGraph, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel.

· Proficiency in Data Engineering patterns, PySpark, and large-scale data workflows.

· Relevant certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP cloud architectures, Databricks certifications, or advanced AI specialties.
