AI Engineer Intern

Tikko Desk is a new startup in early development, based in Hyderabad. This is a full-time,internship for 5–6 months. The stipend is discussed during the interview. Interns who perform well may be offered a paid full-time role at the end, depending on performance and company needs. We're looking for immediate joiners.

About Tikko Desk

We're building B2B software for IT teams. It covers Help Desk, Assets, Endpoints, People onboarding and offboarding, Vault, Workflows and more in one product. Our AI assistant, Tikky, is built into the product: it drafts ticket replies, reads invoices, explains device logs and suggests fixes. Because we're early, you'll work directly with the founder and ship AI features that real customers use.

What you'll do

• Build and improve AI features in Tikky using large language models (LLMs) through APIs.

• Write, test and refine prompts, and make AI outputs reliable, accurate and safe.

• Build small evaluation sets to measure whether AI answers are right, and improve them over time.

• Work with Python (FastAPI) on the backend to connect AI features to real product data.

• Explore new AI tools and models, and suggest where AI can save IT teams time.

• Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) every day, and review what they produce carefully.

What we're looking for

Must-haves:

• Good Python skills (projects and coursework count).

• Hands-on experience calling an LLM API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or similar) in a project.

• Understanding of prompt engineering and the limits of AI (hallucinations, cost, privacy).

• Comfortable with Git.

• Daily use of AI tools.

• Available full-time for 5–6 months, starting immediately, hybrid in Hyderabad.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector search or AI agents and tool calling.

• FastAPI, SQL or PostgreSQL.

• Any experience with Google Cloud or Vertex AI.
