AI Engineer (Backend)

We are looking for an AI Engineer with strong backend engineering experience to build and productionize AI-powered applications and services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience developing scalable backend systems along with LLMs, generative AI, RAG, AI agents, or ML-based applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for AI-powered products.
• Build and integrate LLM/Generative AI applications, including RAG pipelines, AI agents, and intelligent automation.
• Integrate and work with LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source models.
• Build RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector databases, document processing, and retrieval techniques.
• Develop AI agents and workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalent.
• Design APIs and microservices that can handle high-volume production workloads.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and vector databases.
• Build data-processing and model-inference pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, logging, testing, security, and performance optimization for AI services.
• Deploy and operate AI/backend services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, data, and ML teams to deliver end-to-end AI features.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Golang, and Node.js
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and system design.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI / LLMs.
• Experience with one or more: RAG, LLM applications, AI agents/agentic AI, prompt engineering, embeddings/vector search, and model inference.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
