Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AI Agent Engineer to build intelligent, data-driven AI agents that can analyze complex data, apply business rules, perform multi-step reasoning, and provide actionable recommendations. The candidate should have hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, tool/function calling, and workflow orchestration

One of the key use cases for this role will involve building an AI-driven solution for a complex Payor Lookup process, where the system needs to interpret data, apply business rules, perform intelligent lookup/reasoning, and recommend the most appropriate outcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI Agents / Agentic AI applications capable of autonomous reasoning, decision-making, and recommendation generation.
• Build AI solutions that can consume structured and unstructured data, analyze information, identify patterns, and provide meaningful recommendations.
• Develop intelligent workflows where AI agents can retrieve information, reason over data, invoke tools/APIs, and determine the next best action.
• Work on complex Payor Lookup and healthcare data-related use cases, including data interpretation, validation, matching, and recommendation.
• Develop LLM-powered applications using models such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or equivalent.
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions using enterprise data and knowledge bases.
• Design and integrate vector databases / semantic search for retrieving relevant information from large datasets.
• Build agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, of equivalent.
• Integrate AI agents with REST APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and external data sources.
• Develop mechanisms for AI agents to evaluate multiple data points and provide explainable, reliable, and context-aware recommendations.
• Implement prompt engineering, context management, memory, tool/function calling, and structured outputs.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, relevance, hallucination, latency, and quality of AI-generated recommendations.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and business teams to translate complex business processes into AI-driven solutions.
• Ensure AI applications follow appropriate security, privacy, governance, and responsible AI practices, particularly when handling healthcare-related data.
• Optimize AI applications for scalability, performance, reliability, and cost.

Key Skills: Python, Generative AI/LLMs, Azure OpenAI/OpenAI, LangChain/LangGraph, RAG, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, SQL, REST APIs, Vector Databases, and AI evaluation.

Preferred: Experience in healthcare, health insurance, payer/payor systems, claims, eligibility, EDI transactions, or complex Payor Lookup processes.
