AI Data Engineer cum Data Scientist (AI/GenAI, SAS, Python, SQL & ML) for our banking client in Chennai

Required Skills Programming & Data

• Python – strong hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy and data processing libraries.
• SQL – strong proficiency in complex queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and performance optimization.
• SAS – hands-on experience with SAS programming, data manipulation, and analytical procedures.
• Strong understanding of

ETL/ELT concepts and data pipelines .

• Experience working with large datasets and data quality processes. AI / Machine Learning
• Good understanding of

AI/ML concepts and algorithms .

• Hands-on experience with machine learning using Python is preferred.
• Exposure to libraries such as

Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch is an advantage.

• Understanding of

Generative AI / LLM concepts is an added advantage.

• Experience in feature engineering, model evaluation, and predictive analytics is preferred. Data Analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with

EDA, statistical analysis, data profiling, and data visualization .

• Ability to convert business requirements into data-driven analytical solutions.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools is an advantage. Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in

Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline .

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, AI/ML, or a similar role.
• Experience working in

banking, financial services, insurance, or other data-intensive domains is an advantage.

• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
