About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

    AI Creative Technologist

Location: Mumbai, full time, in office

    Experience: 2 to 5 years

    About the role

You will help us answer the question: how do we use technology to make Hunger Inc. more loved, more connected and more scalable? Our brand, content and design teams already experiment with generative AI, from product imagery to short films. You will turn those experiments into workflows the whole team can use, and help our storytellers make more ambitious work, faster. You will work with our designers, filmmakers and marketers, alongside our Product Manager, Software Engineer and the founders.

    What You'll Own

    1. Engineer AI-powered creative production workflows

Today, generating an impressive image or video is relatively easy. Creating consistent, production-ready work across multiple scenes, products, formats and campaigns is considerably harder. We want to develop structured creative workflows that combine generative AI models, traditional creative software, automation and human judgment. That could mean connecting image-generation models, video tools, 3D workflows, compositing software and editing applications into repeatable production systems. You'll experiment with different models, APIs, node-based workflows and automation tools to identify what works best for specific creative challenges. The goal is to move from isolated experiments to reliable creative capabilities that our teams can use repeatedly.

    2. Build AI-powered animation and storytelling capabilities

Imagine a kaju katli flying through the air like a miniature racing car. Or a packet of Bhel Bites becoming a giant animated character wandering through a miniature Bombay. These are the kinds of creative experiments we're already exploring. But making them work involves much more than typing a prompt. Character consistency, visual continuity, camera movement, lighting, product accuracy, animation, sound and editing all need to come together.

You'll help develop workflows that combine AI-generated imagery, video, 3D, motion graphics and traditional filmmaking techniques. We're particularly interested in understanding how these tools can make ambitious storytelling more accessible without compromising quality.

    3. Build intelligent product imagery and visual content systems

Bombay Sweet Shop has a growing catalogue of products sold across our website, cafs, marketplaces, quick commerce and gifting channels. Every product requires imagery in different formats, compositions, environments and campaigns. We want to explore how generative AI and creative automation could help us produce high-quality visual content more efficiently while maintaining consistency and accuracy. This could involve developing reusable workflows for product photography, backgrounds, lighting, compositions, packaging visualisation and format adaptations. The challenge is to build systems that understand and preserve the details that matter: the product, its packaging, its proportions, its identity and the visual language of the brand.

    4. Develop internal creative tools and automations

Our creative teams work across design, content, photography, video, marketing and production. Many workflows involve repetitive tasks, multiple software platforms, feedback cycles and manual coordination. You'll identify opportunities to improve these processes through automation, AI-assisted applications and lightweight internal tools. That could include asset generation, versioning, creative prototyping, format adaptation, workflow orchestration or internal knowledge systems. We want someone who can evaluate existing products before building something custom. Sometimes the most valuable innovation is connecting three tools that already exist.

    5. Help our creative teams become AI-native

We don't want AI expertise concentrated in one person. You'll work closely with our designers, filmmakers, art directors, photographers and content creators to develop workflows they can understand and use. Document experiments, build reusable systems, share learnings and help teams understand both the capabilities and limitations of emerging technology. Your success will be measured not just by what you create yourself, but by the new creative capabilities you help build across Hunger Inc.

    Our Creative Technology Environment

We're interested in people who have explored modern generative AI tools and understand how to combine them with traditional creative production. Relevant technologies include:

    • Image generation: Flux, Stable Diffusion, Midjourney or comparable models.
    • Video generation: Runway, Kling, Veo or comparable platforms.
    • Workflow orchestration: ComfyUI, node-based systems, APIs and automation tools.
    • Creative production: Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Blender or comparable software.
    • Creative coding: Python, JavaScript, AI-assisted development and API integrations.
    • Automation: n8n, Make or other workflow tools.

We don't expect candidates to know every platform. We do expect them to understand how these technologies work together, where they fail and how to choose the right approach for a particular creative problem.

    What youll bring

Approximately 2–5 years of experience in creative technology, digital production, motion design, generative AI, technical art, creative coding or a related discipline. We're open to unconventional backgrounds and self-taught technologists. Your portfolio and technical understanding matter more than your job title.

    Required Skills

    • Generative AI: Hands-on experience with multiple image and video generation models, including their strengths, limitations and practical applications.
    • Workflow engineering: Experience developing structured, repeatable creative workflows rather than relying exclusively on individual prompts.
    • Visual storytelling: Strong understanding of composition, lighting, framing, colour, movement, pacing and narrative.
    • Creative production: Working familiarity with professional design, video editing, compositing or motion graphics software.
    • Technical fluency: Ability to work with APIs, node-based systems, automation tools or basic scripting to connect creative technologies.
    • Consistency and quality control: Experience maintaining character identity, product accuracy, visual style and continuity across multiple outputs.
    • Experimentation: Ability to test emerging models, compare results, diagnose failures and improve workflows.
    • Portfolio evidence: Examples of finished creative work, along with the tools, processes and decisions behind them.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience with ComfyUI or similar node-based generation environments.
    • Familiarity with reference-based generation, ControlNet-style conditioning, masking, inpainting and other techniques for controlling outputs.
    • Experience with 3D workflows, compositing, motion graphics, character animation or VFX.
    • Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript or creative coding.
    • Experience connecting generative AI tools through APIs or workflow automation platforms.
    • Understanding of model evaluation, consistency testing and production quality assurance.
    • Experience building internal creative tools or automating production workflows.
    • Familiarity with intellectual property, licensing and commercial use of AI-generated content.
    • Experience creating visual content for consumer brands, advertising, packaging, food, fashion or entertainment.

    What Success Looks Like

You've built creative workflows that produce consistently high-quality work and can be used by people beyond yourself. You've helped our teams develop new creative capabilities, reduced repetitive production work and made ambitious ideas easier to explore. You can demonstrate not just the final output, but the system behind it.
