About this role
About us
We're a small, fast-growing digital marketing agency, and we're betting big on AI to run a leaner, smarter business. We want to automate the repetitive work across support, sales and customer success so our team can focus on strategy, creativity and clients. You'll be the person who makes that happen.
The role
We're hiring a full-time AI Automation Expert to design, build and maintain AI-powered systems across the agency. You'll work hands-on with Claude Code and Grok (xAI) to turn manual workflows into reliable automations, connect them to our tools (Go High Level & Monday.com), and keep improving them as we grow.
This is a builder role with real ownership. You'll scope problems with team leads, ship working solutions quickly, and document them so the team can use them every day.
What you'll build
Your first projects will cover three areas of the business, with plenty more to follow.
- AI support ticketing system: an intake, triage and routing system that categorizes client requests, drafts responses and escalates to the right person.
- Sales lead sourcing bot: a bot that finds and qualifies prospects that match our ideal client profile, enriches their data and pushes them into our pipeline.
- Customer success call intelligence: automations that capture client call data (summaries, action items, sentiment, upsell signals) and organize it in Monday.com.
- Whatever comes next: reporting, campaign workflows, internal tools and any process where AI can save time or improve quality.
Responsibilities
- Audit our workflows across support, sales and customer success, and identify the highest-impact automation opportunities.
- Design, build, test and deploy AI automations using Claude Code, Grok and related APIs.
- Integrate AI systems with our tools, especially Monday.com, & Go High Level plus email, call recording, calendar and lead data platforms.
- Build prompts, agents and workflows that are reliable, monitored and easy to update.
- Write clear documentation and train team members to use what you build.
- Track results (time saved, response times, leads generated) and iterate based on feedback.
- Handle client and company data securely and responsibly.
- Stay current on new AI tools and recommend the ones worth adopting.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience building with Claude Code and the Grok (xAI) API. Please show us real projects.
- 2+ years building automations, integrations or software, ideally for business operations.
- Strong skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs, webhooks and JSON.
- Experience integrating with CRMs or work management platforms. Monday.com & GHL experience is a big plus.
- Solid prompt engineering and experience building AI agents or multi-step workflows.
- Able to take a loosely defined business problem and turn it into a working, documented solution.
- Clear written and spoken English, and comfortable explaining technical work to non-technical teammates.
- Available to work 9am-5pm Eastern Time, Monday to Friday.
Nice to have
- Experience at or with a digital marketing agency.
- Familiarity with automation platforms such as Make, Zapier or n8n.
- Experience with call recording and transcription tools (e.g., Fathom) or speech-to-text APIs.
- Lead enrichment and scraping tools (e.g., Apollo, Clay) and an understanding of data privacy rules.
- Experience with helpdesk platforms or building ticketing systems.
Compensation, hours and location
Pay: $1,500 - $2,500 USD per month, based on experience
Hours: Full-time, 9am-5pm Eastern Time (EST/EDT), MondayFriday
Location: Remote
Hiring process
Our process ends with a paid, real-world project so you can show what you can build, and we can see how you work.
- Application review: we review your application and portfolio of AI automation work.
- Intro call (30 min): a conversation about your background, tools and how you approach automation problems.
- Technical interview ( 30 min): a walkthrough of a past project you built with Claude Code or Grok.
- Paid final project (top 3 candidates): you'll build a working AI support ticketing system prototype for our agency. You'll be paid for your time, and we'll provide a brief, success criteria and a deadline.
- Final review and offer: you'll present your project, and we'll choose the best fit for the team.
