AI Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior AI & Automation Engineer who can help streamline and automate business processes across our Sales and Marketing teams. The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of AI, automation, scripting, and CRM systems to build reliable workflows that reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.

You will work with tools such as Salesforce, workflow automation platforms, AI APIs, and business applications to automate repetitive tasks, integrate systems, and develop intelligent solutions that support our sales and marketing operations.

• Workflow Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using platforms such as n8n, Tines, Zapier, Make, or similar tools.

• Salesforce Integration: Integrate Salesforce CRM with internal applications, marketing platforms, and third-party services using REST APIs and webhooks.

• AI-Powered Automation: Leverage AI/LLM APIs to automate tasks such as lead qualification, data enrichment, content processing, information extraction, and sales workflow assistance.

• Scripting and Development: Develop Python or JavaScript scripts to automate repetitive tasks, transform data, integrate APIs, and implement custom business logic.

• Sales and Marketing Automation: Automate lead management, follow-up workflows, contact enrichment, campaign processes, notifications, and sales pipeline updates.

• API Integrations: Connect Salesforce and other business tools using REST APIs, OAuth, API keys, and webhook-based integrations.

• Data Processing: Parse, validate, normalize, and transform JSON and other structured data formats across integrated systems.

• Event-Driven Automation: Configure triggers, scheduled jobs, and event-based workflows to ensure timely and reliable execution of business processes.

• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Monitor workflows, investigate failures, handle API errors, and improve automation reliability and performance.

• Documentation and Version Control: Maintain clear documentation of workflows, scripts, API configurations, and integration logic using Git.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other business stakeholders to identify manual processes and convert them into scalable automation solutions.

• Basic to intermediate programming skills in Python or JavaScript.

• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, and response handling.

• Good understanding of JSON, data transformation, and structured data processing.

• Familiarity with webhooks, scheduled tasks, and event-driven workflows.

• Basic understanding of AI/LLM APIs and how to integrate AI capabilities into applications.

• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar tools.

• Basic understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, including leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities.

• Comfort working with the command line and debugging scripts.

• Basic Git knowledge, including commits, branches, and pull requests.

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce APIs, SOQL, Apex, or Salesforce Flow.

• Exposure to OpenAI, Anthropic, or other LLM APIs.

• Familiarity with AI agents, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

• Experience integrating CRM, email, marketing, analytics, or productivity tools.

• Understanding of OAuth 2.0, API security, rate limits, retries, and error handling.

• Familiarity with Linux environments and basic cloud services.

• Experience building small automation projects or AI-powered applications.

• Automating lead capture, qualification, enrichment, and routing in Salesforce.

• Building AI-powered workflows for sales and marketing operations.

• Connecting Salesforce with email, marketing, and third-party business applications.

• Developing scripts and integrations to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.

• Using AI APIs to extract information, summarize data, and support business workflows.

• Improving existing automation pipelines through monitoring, debugging, and optimization.
