    About your role:

As an AI Automation Engineer - Network Security Governance, you will design and build intelligent automation solutions that modernize cybersecurity governance through artificial intelligence (AI), workflow automation, Policy-as-Code, and Process-as-Code approaches. You will work with security, engineering, and compliance teams to transform manual governance activities into scalable, auditable, and efficient digital workflows. Your work will help strengthen firewall governance, improve risk-based decisioning, and advance operational excellence across cybersecurity processes.

    What you'll do:

    • Build AI-powered solutions that automate cybersecurity governance, policy management, compliance workflows, and operational decision-making.
    • Develop applications, application programming interfaces (APIs), integrations, and automation services that modernize security operations and governance processes.
    • Transform manual governance and approval activities into Process-as-Code and Policy-as-Code solutions that improve repeatability, auditability, and control effectiveness.
    • Leverage AI agents, large language model (LLM) capabilities, workflow orchestration, and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate solution design and delivery.
    • Deploy and maintain solutions using modern software engineering practices including DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
    • Modernize firewall governance through automated approvals, risk-based decisioning, policy validation, attestation, reconciliation, and lifecycle management capabilities.
    • Partner with cybersecurity, engineering, and compliance teams to improve operational efficiency, audit readiness, and regulatory alignment across governance workflows.
    • Drive continuous innovation by identifying and implementing opportunities to automate complex cybersecurity and network governance processes.
    • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

    Experience you'll need to have:

    • 8+ years of experience developing APIs, integrations, automation solutions, and enterprise-scale software services in complex technology environments.
    • 8+ years of experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and Git-based development workflows.
    • 5+ years of experience working with cybersecurity and cloud technologies including firewalls, Zero Trust architectures, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar environments.
    • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar platforms to accelerate software delivery.
    • Experience working with AI agents, workflow automation, process orchestration, and intelligent decisioning solutions in enterprise settings.
    • Experience designing or supporting automation solutions that improve governance, compliance, or operational controls in cybersecurity-related environments.
    • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

    • Experience with ServiceNow, workflow orchestration platforms, security governance tools, or policy management solutions.
    • Experience with cloud-native security services and automation frameworks across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
    • Experience working within cybersecurity, network security, governance, risk, and compliance organizations.
    • Experience applying Policy-as-Code or Process-as-Code methods in regulated enterprise environments.

    How you'll work:

    • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
