About this role
Position Overview The role will support senior leadership (Chairman’s Office) in shaping and executing strategic initiatives across the Commercial, Retail, and Hospitality businesses. The incumbent will drive strategic planning, financial evaluation of new opportunities, investor engagement, and performance analytics to enable informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Business Growth
- Support leadership in formulating and executing short-term and long-term growth strategies across the Commercial, Retail, and Hospitality segments.
- Track and monitor progress against strategic initiatives and key performance indicators.
- Develop strategic frameworks and insights to guide business expansion, portfolio optimization, and capital deployment.
Management & Board Engagement
- Prepare high-impact strategy decks, investment notes, and analytical presentations for Management Committee and Board discussions.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support critical business decisions.
- Investor Relations & Capital Raising
- Assist in equity fundraising initiatives, including identification and engagement with potential investors and funds.
- Support negotiation, structuring, and execution of term sheets and definitive agreements in collaboration with legal, finance, and leadership teams.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with institutional investors and financial partners.
Financial Modelling & Investment Analysis
- Build robust financial models for:
- Project feasibility analysis
- Determining rentals, pricing, and sale values
- Evaluating project returns and capital efficiency
- Conduct investment analysis including IRR, NPV, payback period, and capital allocation assessments.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging sectors to identify potential opportunities and tenant categories.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and market analysis to evaluate positioning and performance.
Portfolio & Transaction Analysis
- Undertake performance analysis of existing assets/projects to identify improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate financial viability of exit strategies including full asset divestment or strata sale models.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business verticals, finance, leasing, projects, and legal teams to drive strategic initiatives and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities with strong understanding of:
- P&L and MIS analysis
- Cash flow modelling
- IRR, NPV, capital allocation, and investment metrics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex analyses to senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of real estate business models across commercial, retail, and hospitality assets.
- Highly collaborative with strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving ability.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: MBA / PGDM from a Tier-1 Business School (IIMs, ISB or equivalent global institutions).
- Additional, CA / CFA / Chartered Financial Analyst with strong financial modelling and investment analysis exposure.
- Experience: + 8–12 years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, investment analysis, consulting, or investor relations. + Prior experience in real estate, infrastructure, private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting will be strongly preferred.
- Strategic & Financial Expertise: + Strong experience in financial modelling, investment evaluation, capital structuring, and feasibility analysis. + Ability to evaluate large-scale real estate or infrastructure investments and asset monetization strategies.
- Stakeholder Exposure: + Experience interacting with senior leadership, investors, private equity funds, or institutional stakeholders. + Ability to translate complex financial and market insights into clear strategic recommendations.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: + Structured thinker with strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making capability. + Experience in developing strategy presentations and board-level communication.
- Leadership & Collaboration: + Ability to work across multiple business verticals and drive cross-functional collaboration. + Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage high-impact strategic initiatives.
