AGM / General Manager – Bid/ Tender

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced AGM / General Manager to build and lead our Government & Institutional Business vertical from scratch.

The candidate will be responsible for developing the Government Business strategy, building the GeM & tender business, creating the sales pipeline, establishing the team and processes, and driving revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Build the Government/PSU/Institutional Business vertical from 0-to-1.

Identify and develop opportunities across GeM, government tenders, PSUs and institutional customers.

Own the complete tender lifecycle from opportunity identification to bid submission, negotiation and order closure.

Develop government/PSU relationships and build a strong business pipeline.

Drive pricing, commercial strategy, negotiations and profitability.

Build and lead the Government Sales & Tender team.

Develop relationships with OEMs, distributors, system integrators and channel partners.

Establish processes, MIS and governance for the new vertical.

Work closely with Product, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain and Operations teams.

Take ownership of revenue, margins and overall Government Business growth.

Desired Candidate Profile

10–16 years of experience in Government Business / Institutional Sales / Tender / Bid Management.

Strong hands-on experience with GeM and Government Tenders.

Preferably from Electronics, Consumer Durables, Electricals, Appliances, IT Hardware, Security/Surveillance or similar product industries.

Must have strong business development and commercial experience, not only tender documentation.

Proven ability to build a business/team from scratch.

Strong negotiation, relationship management and leadership skills
