About this role
- Manage day-to-day blanking line production as per production plan, quality standards and delivery targets.
- Handle press/blanking machines, dies, tooling and material feeding for sheet-metal components.
- Monitor line productivity, OEE, cycle time, downtime and rejection/rework and take corrective actions.
- Ensure proper die setting, changeover, machine parameters and first-piece approval.
- Maintain process quality and ensure compliance with control plans, work instructions, PFMEA and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Tool Room teams to resolve production and machine-related issues.
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, PPE and shop-floor discipline.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, rejection reports and downtime data.
- Manage and guide operators/workmen to achieve shift-wise production targets.
