AGM/ DGM - Accounts & Taxation

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Financial Planning & Strategy

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Develop long-term financial strategies aligned with business goals
• Provide insights on project profitability, investment decisions, and risk mitigation

2. Project Accounting & Cost Control

• Monitor project-wise costing, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition (Percentage of Completion Method for EPC / Real Estate projects)
• Track WIP (Work-in-Progress), project cash flows, and cost overruns
• Coordinate with project teams for financial discipline and reporting

3. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS as applicable)
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings
• Manage internal and external audits

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow planning and working capital optimization
• Handle banking relationships, fund raising, and debt management
• Monitor receivables, payables, and liquidity position

5. Taxation & Regulatory Matters

• Oversee direct and indirect taxation including GST planning and compliance
• Ensure tax efficiency and risk mitigation
• Handle assessments, notices, and liaison with tax authorities

6. Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to company policies and governance standards

7. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor finance and accounts team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Projects, Procurement, Legal, Sales)
• Present financial reports to senior management and leadership

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
• Experience: 10–15 years (with at least 5 years in a leadership role)
• Sector Exposure: Residential, Commercial, Institutional, or Infrastructure Projects

Technical & Soft Skills:

• Strong understanding of EPC / Real Estate financial models
• Expertise in project accounting and cost management
• Advanced knowledge of GST, taxation, and compliance frameworks
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
