Role Summary

We are looking for an AGM – Business Development to support the BD Head and act as a second line leader for driving growth in nutraceutical & herbal contract manufacturing. The role focuses on new business acquisition, strategic account management, team leadership, and market expansion, while ensuring smooth coordination with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new business development through referrals, networking, industry connects, social media, trade fairs, and exhibitions
• Manage end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, KYC/NDAs, pricing, contracts, and closures
• Support BD Head in strategic planning, revenue growth, and market expansion initiatives
• Build and manage key client relationships, ensuring long-term retention and satisfaction
• Identify market trends, competitor activity, and new product opportunities
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, MIS, and management reports
• Lead, mentor, and motivate the BD team to achieve growth and revenue targets
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, QA, Regulatory, SCM, and Finance for seamless execution
  

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15 years of Business Development experience, with at least 5 years in Nutraceutical / Herbal Contract Manufacturing
• Strong industry network and proven client acquisition track record
• Exposure to B2B sales, contract manufacturing, and solution-based selling
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage teams and drive performance
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with strong presentation skills
  

Qualification

• MBA / Graduate in Pharma / Life Sciences / Business Management preferred
