About this role
Role & responsibilities
Position Overview
As an Advisory Analyst at Everstream Analytics Value & Adisory team, you’ll apply your curiosity and interest in world affairs and business management to support risk intelligence operations. This role supports client engagements by turning complex supply chain data into meaningful insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping businesses make better-informed decisions.
This is more than a data analysis role. We need someone who can understand the bigger business picture, think critically about the information in front of them and take ownership of solving problems, rather than simply following a prescribed process.
The role offers the opportunity to work across a range of supply chain challenges, contribute directly to client outcomes and help shape how we deliver our advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Analysis & problem-solving: Analyse complex datasets to identify supply chain risks, trends and opportunities, drawing meaningful conclusions rather than simply reporting results.
- Advisory support: Support client engagements through research, quantitative analysis, business cases and the development of clear, actionable recommendations.
- Data quality & validation: Prepare, reconcile and validate supplier and operational data, proactively investigating discrepancies and questioning results that don't make sense.
- Client deliverables: Develop high-quality analyses, reports and presentations that communicate complex findings clearly to business stakeholders.
- Implementation support: Work across systems and teams to ensure supplier data is accurate, complete and ready for client use.
- Continuous improvement: Challenge existing approaches, identify opportunities to improve processes and use technology or automation to make our work more effective.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means delivering accurate, insightful analysis that others can confidently rely on. You'll be able to take a business problem, understand the objective, develop an appropriate analytical approach and communicate findings that help drive decisions.
Just as importantly, you'll recognise when something doesn't look right, ask the right questions and continuously look for better ways of working.
Preferred candidate profile
What We're Looking For
Experience & Technical Skills
- 2–4 years' experience in management consulting, supply chain operations/advisory, business analysis or a similarly analytical role.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, complex formulas, pivot tables and working with large datasets.
- Ability to independently (or with minimal coaching) structure analyses, build analytical models and communicate findings through clear, professional PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong aptitude for technology, with the ability to learn new tools and work across multiple data sources and systems.
- Experience in supply chain, procurement or supplier management is advantageous but not essential.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Data Analytics.
Mindset & Ways of Working
- Critical thinker: Questions assumptions, identifies inconsistencies and understands the why behind the work, not just the steps involved.
- Natural problem-solver: Can break down unfamiliar or ambiguous problems, determine an appropriate approach and work towards a logical solution.
- Independent and accountable: Takes ownership of deliverables, exercises sound judgement and produces reliable work with limited supervision.
- Analytically curious: Looks beyond the immediate task to understand what the data is telling us and what it means for the client.
- Detail-oriented: Recognises the importance of accuracy, validates their own work and knows when something warrants further investigation.
- Clear communicator: Can explain complex findings simply, articulate their reasoning and confidently raise questions or challenge an approach.
- Proactive and adaptable: Comfortable working outside established processes, suggesting improvements and learning as business needs evolve.
