Join Truecaller - The place where innovation meets impact!
Truecaller's mission is to build trust in communication by making it safer, smarter, and more efficient.
We always look for people who take initiative, own their work, and keep raising the bar. An entrepreneurial mindset matters here, especially when it turns bold ideas into real actions. We stay collaborative and focused, always searching for smarter paths forward. If you want to make an impact and grow with a team that inspires millions, you ll fit right in.
The role
As a strategic, data-driven commercial thinker, you will shape how Truecallers Ads business prices its inventory and grows revenue. You will sit at the intersection of Revenue Strategy, Monetization, Product, Sales and Finance.
A typical problem starts as a business question: are we leaving money on the table in a market, is our rate card competitive, should we shift inventory from programmatic to direct, or how will a new ad format affect yield
You will dig into the data, build the business case, recommend the pricing or revenue move, align the right teams, and measure the impact.
You will be the go-to person for how Ads makes money, giving leadership a clear view of where revenue is coming from, where the next growth is, and what to do about it.
What you ll do:
- Pricing strategy: Own rate cards, floor prices and pricing models across formats, geographies and buying channels; benchmark against competitors and market rates.
- Revenue growth: Identify and size revenue opportunities across Direct Sales (DS) and programmatic (3P), and build the strategy and business cases to capture them.
- Yield and monetization: Analyze DS vs. 3P mix, eCPM, fill rate, auction dynamics and partner performance to maximize yield per user and per impression.
- Packaging and deal strategy: Design ad packages, bundles, premium inventory offerings and deal structures (PMPs, programmatic guaranteed, sponsorships) that advertisers want to buy.
- Impact sizing: Model the revenue impact of pricing changes, new ad formats, product launches and auction changes before they ship, and track outcomes after.
- Experimentation: Design and run pricing and floor-price tests; turn results into clear recommendations.
- Revenue planning: Partner with Finance on annual and quarterly revenue targets, and explain performance against plan to leadership, covering what happened, why, and what to do next.
- Sales enablement: Support quota setting, pricing guardrails and discount frameworks so Sales can sell with confidence and consistency.
What you bring in:
- 6-8 years in ads strategy, monetization, pricing, yield management or revenue strategy, ideally in ad tech or consumer internet.
- Proven track record of owning pricing or revenue decisions that delivered measurable growth.
- Deep understanding of ad monetization: direct vs. programmatic, eCPM, fill rate, floor pricing, auctions and yield optimization.
- Strong analytical skills: advanced SQL (BigQuery preferred), financial modelling in spreadsheets, and a BI tool.
- Experience presenting strategy and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Commercial judgment: Turns data into clear pricing and revenue decisions.
- Strategic thinking: Sees the bigger picture across market, advertiser and product, not just the numbers.
- Ownership: Takes an idea from hypothesis to recommendation, rollout and measured result.
- Stakeholder influence: Aligns Sales, Product and Finance around a single revenue view.
- Experimentation mindset: Tests, learns and refines rather than relying on assumptions.
- Able to influence Sales, Product, Finance and Engineering without direct authority.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience with ad servers and SSPs (e.g., Google Ad Manager).
- Exposure to pricing in emerging markets such as India, MENA or Africa.
- A background in strategy consulting or business finance.
