Job Description AdMedia India is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator/DevOps who is passionate about infrastructure design to join its Platform Operations team. We leverage our infrastructure with heavy automation for server deployment and provisioning. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys experimenting and thoughtfully architect systems!
Work Location : Anywhere in India (Remote)
Work Timing : 4 PM to 12 AM IST (Evening Shift)
Working Days : 5 Days a week (Monday to Friday)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure and automation improvements.
- Provision and manage servers and environments.
- Develop and maintain configuration management templates.
- Monitor and optimize system performance; respond to incidents.
- Participate in on-call rotation and production support.
- Support development and QA teams during software releases and patches.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Manage user access and security policies.
- Safeguard application data against loss, theft, or disasters.
- Partner with external services for seamless integrations.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies to improve systems and processes; continually push the company and the team to leverage the best possible tools and resources.
Required Experience And Qualifications
- 5+ years of Linux Administration experience.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, PHP, or Bash).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, ICMP, and other network protocols.
- Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx, or Tomcat).
- Hands-on with caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
- Monitoring and observability using Prometheus & Grafana.
- Configuration management and automation with Ansible.
- Virtualization (KVM, XEN, VMware, AWS) and cloud expertise (AWS & Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Database administration : MySQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), Sphinx/Manticore search engines.
- Experience managing Node.js applications and Elasticsearch clusters.
- Proficiency with collaboration and DevOps tools: Jira, Bitbucket, Git.
- Experience with Google Workspace administration.
- Familiarity with SSL certificate management, DNS configuration, and Domain management.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
