We are a new-age NBFC-MFI following a data-based approach towards meeting the twin goals of financial inclusion and driving impact for our customers.

Type: Full time (work from office)
Location: Nariman Point, Mumbai
Working days: Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturdays + all Sundays are off)

Key Responsibilities:

GST Compliance & Accounting

• Manage end-to-end GST compliance for multiple GST registrations.
• Prepare and review GST returns including GSTR-3B, GSTR-6, GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C.
• Perform ITC reconciliation and GSTR-2B reconciliation on a periodic basis.
• Ensure accurate GST accounting and reconciliation in Tally.
• Handle ISD and Cross Charge accounting and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants for GST return filing and compliance matters.
• Address GST notices, departmental queries, assessments, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities and maintenance of statutory records.

TDS Compliance & Accounting

• Manage monthly TDS workings and timely payment of TDS liabilities.
• Coordinate quarterly TDS return filings and corrections, if required.
• Reconcile TDS data with books of accounts.
• Download, validate, and maintain Form 16A records.
• Ensure timely resolution of TDS-related discrepancies and notices.
• Maintain accurate TDS accounting records and statutory documentation.

Borrowings & Treasury Accounting

• Handle accounting and reconciliation of borrowings, term loans, NCDs, and other lender facilities.
• Process loan repayments, interest payments, and borrowing cost accounting.
• Manage lender reconciliations and ensure accuracy of borrowing schedules.
• Support ALM-related data requirements and treasury accounting activities.
• Account for interest accruals, processing fees, and other borrowing-related transactions.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Manage Tally configurations relating to GST, TDS, Cost Centres, Voucher Types, ISD, and Cross Charge.
• Ensure accurate accounting and statutory mappings in Tally.
• Manage employee expense provisions and statutory accounting relating to PF, ESIC, and Labour Welfare Fund.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Perform periodic balance sheet reconciliations and control checks.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Audit & Statutory Support

• Coordinate with statutory, tax, and internal auditors.
• Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare GST, TDS, and statutory dues annexures for Form 3CD.
• Resolve auditor queries and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Support regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with GST/TDS consultants, auditors, vendors, Treasury, HR, and internal departments.
• Follow up on compliance-related matters and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen compliance controls.

Mandatory Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts & Taxation.
• Experience in NBFC, BFSI, Financial Services, or similar regulated industries will be preferred.
• Experience handling multiple GST registrations will be an added advantage.

Qualification: CA / CA Inter / B.Com / M.Com with relevant taxation and accounting experience.
