Accounts Receivable Executive

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Collection Specialist with a background in the refractory sector. The executive will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the refractory industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to resolving collection issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the collection of outstanding invoices for refractory products and services. Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Communicate with clients to follow up on overdue payments. Negotiate payment terms, resolve disputes, and ensure that clients are aware of their outstanding balances.
• Address and resolve any issues related to invoicing and payments. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and customer service, to clarify and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports and collection performance metrics. Provide insights and recommendations for improving collection processes.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all collection activities, client communications, and payment arrangements. Ensure that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Evaluate and review client creditworthiness and credit limits. Recommend adjustments to credit terms based on payment history and financial stability.
• Coordinate and support stock audit activities across branches and associated locations, ensuring timely reporting and reconciliation.
• Identify and implement improvements to the collection process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and recommend strategies for reducing overdue accounts.
• Work closely with the accounting and finance teams to ensure alignment between collections and overall financial goals. Provide input on financial forecasts and cash flow projections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably within the refractory sector or a related industrial field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes effectively.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing accounts and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to meet the clients.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial data and identify trends or issues.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
