Accounts Payable Analyst

EY is hiring AP Analyst & Sr AP Analyst for perm role for Chennai location

We are looking Finance & Accounts professional with strong Accounts Payable skills including Invoice Processing, Invoice Validation, Payment processing, AP Query Management, Supplier Management, Reconciliation.

1-3 Years- AP Analyst

3-7 Years- Sr AP Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Process PO and non-PO invoices, credit notes, and other transactions accurately within agreed timelines, including GL account and cost-centre assignment and provisions for future payments.
• Perform two-way and three-way matching of invoices.
• Review rejected, blocked, and disputed invoices, conduct root-cause analysis of discrepancies, and coordinate corrective action with approvers, suppliers, and relevant teams.
• Process payments, maintain accurate transaction records, and investigate vendor escalations and supplier queries relating to unpaid invoices, errors, or payment status.
• Monitor ageing documents and outstanding invoices, take timely follow-up action to meet TATs.
• Prepare timely reports, including end-of-day invoice recording and completion reports, ageing reports, vendor statement reconciliations, and open-item summaries.
• Support month-end closing activities, including invoice review, provisioning, reconciliation, and resolution of outstanding items.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate or Post graduate with required years of experience in P2P.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end processes, including invoice processing, approvals, payments, and vendor management.
• Should be an experienced problem solver with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible attitude to achieve results.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ready to work in US/Canadian shift timings
• Proficiency in ERP platforms, along with advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
