Accounts Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Officer US Accounting with hands-on exposure to NetSuite ERP. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting activities for US-based clients, including journal entries, general ledger accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage deliverables while working remotely during US business hours.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Process accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany entries, and balance-sheet schedules.
• Prepare bank, credit-card, vendor, customer, and general-ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Process invoices, payments, receipts, credit notes, and expense transactions.
• Prepare trial balance, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash-flow schedules, and management reports.
• Use NetSuite ERP for transaction processing, account reconciliations, saved searches, financial reports, and period-close activities.
• Coordinate with US-based clients and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and obtain required accounting information.
• Maintain process documentation, checklists, working papers, and audit-ready supporting records.
• Follow internal controls, client processes, confidentiality requirements, and agreed timelines.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation.
