Accounts Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Support bank reconciliation and cash/bank transaction recording.
• Assist in GST, TDS and other statutory accounting-related activities.
• Verify invoices, bills and supporting documents before processing.
• Assist in monthly closing, MIS and basic financial reporting.
• Support product costing, raw material costing and production cost analysis.
• Prepare and maintain cost sheets and compare actual cost vs. standard/budgeted cost.
• Assist in analysing material, labour, overhead and production costs.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production and other departments for accounting and costing-related information.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Perform other day-to-day accounting and finance activities as assigned.

Desired Skills:

• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and costing concepts.
• Basic understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Ledger and Trial Balance.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Tally/ERP/SAP will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
