Accounts Officer

Key Responsibilities

Factory & Production Accounting

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities for the factory.
• Post daily production entries in Tally.
• Record production from raw materials to finished goods.
• Record and reconcile raw-material consumption against production.
• Monitor production-related accounting and inventory movements.

BOM & Inventory

• Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Post BOM-based production entries in Tally.
• Record raw-material consumption.
• Maintain raw-material and finished-goods inventory records.
• Perform stock reconciliation and support physical stock verification.
• Investigate and resolve inventory differences.

Purchase & Vendor Accounting

• Post purchase bills and vendor invoices in Tally.
• Verify invoices against PO, GRN and supporting documents.
• Maintain vendor accounts and records.
• Process vendor payments and payment vouchers.

Sales Accounting

• Process sales invoices.
• Post sales entries in Tally.
• Maintain customer accounts and sales records.

Reconciliation & Ledger

• Perform Bank Reconciliation (BRS).
• Conduct vendor and customer reconciliation.
• Review and scrutinize ledgers.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily production and sales reports.
• Prepare stock and inventory reports.
• Prepare production vs. consumption reports.
• Support monthly MIS and financial reporting.
• Provide accounting and operational reports to the CFO/management.

Month-End Closing

• Support monthly accounting closing.
• Reconcile production, consumption and inventory.
• Pass expense provisions where required.
• Review outstanding balances and ledgers.
• Support preparation of monthly financial reports.

Mandatory Requirements

• 26 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing/factory environment.
• Hands-on experience with Tally Prime/Tally ERP.
• Strong practical knowledge of factory accounting and inventory accounting.
• Must have personally handled:
• BOM entries
• Production entries
• Raw-material consumption entries
• Purchase & sales entries
• Inventory/stock reconciliation
• Good knowledge of BRS, vendor/customer reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
• Good Excel and MIS reporting skills.
