About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior/Senior Accounting Manager to manage accounting, financial reporting, and investment accounting for a multi-entity Family Office. The role offers exposure to sophisticated investment structures, including Portfolio Management Services (PMS), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), mutual funds, direct equity, and fixed-income investments.

This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals with strong accounting expertise and experience in wealth management, family offices, investment firms, or financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain general ledger and books of accounts across multiple entities.
• Record day-to-day accounting transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and bank entries.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions, and month-end/year-end closing.
• Process vendor payments and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform bank, investment, and inter-company reconciliations.

Investment Accounting

• Account for investments across PMS, AIFs, PE/VC funds, mutual funds, bonds, and direct equity.
• Record capital calls, drawdowns, distributions, dividends, interest income, capital gains, and investment-related expenses.
• Reconcile investment statements received from custodians, fund administrators, and brokers.
• Track corporate actions such as bonus issues, stock splits, rights issues, mergers, and buybacks.
• Maintain investment registers and ownership records for listed and unlisted investments.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and MIS reports.
• Monitor budgets, analyse variances, and provide financial insights.
• Assist in preparing consolidated investment portfolio reports.

Compliance & Audit

• Support statutory audits, tax audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and financial records.
• Support FEMA/LRS compliance related to overseas investments.

Process Improvement

• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Maintain SOPs for finance and accounting operations.
• Coordinate with technology teams to enhance accounting systems and reporting automation.

Desired Candidate Profile

• CA / CA Inter / B.Com / M.Com with strong accounting knowledge.
• Junior Role: 46 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Senior Role: 610 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in a Family Office, Wealth Management, Investment Firm, Asset Management Company (AMC), NBFC, or Financial Services is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in accounting for PMS, AIFs, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Direct Equity, or PE/VC investments.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including reconciliations, reporting, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial analysis.
• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, confidentiality, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
