Job Summary
Were looking for a hands-on Accounts Executive who can independently manage day-to-day bookkeeping, compliance, and reporting for a growing consulting firm serving global clients. Youll work closely with leadership to keep the books accurate, compliance timelines met, and financial reporting audit-ready.
Youll take ownership of the full accounting cycle-from transaction entry to PL and balance sheet reporting-while coordinating statutory filings and payroll-related compliance across multiple organizations/entities under our umbrella. If youre detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable owning numbers end-to-end, this role is for you.

Given that youll be handling sensitive financials across multiple entities, this is a role built on trust - someone we can hand the numbers to and not have to double-check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts for multiple entities/organizations in parallel, keeping each set of records distinct and audit-ready.
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and ledgers in Zoho Books .
- Perform regular expense reconciliations (bank, vendor, and credit card).
- Prepare and maintain the Chart of Accounts .
- Prepare PL statements, Balance Sheets, projections, and budgets for management review.
- Track and report on cash flow , flagging shortfalls or timing gaps proactively.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including statutory deductions.
- Maintain Asset Management records (fixed assets, depreciation schedules).
- Handle GST and TDS computation, payment, and return filing (including quarterly TDS filings).
- Ensure compliance with Professional Tax, PF, Gratuity, and Shop Establishment registrations and renewals.
- Support Income Tax related filings and coordination with auditors/consultants.
- Manage client and vendor invoicing , including follow-up on outstanding receivables.
- Handle multi-currency transactions (USD billing) and reconcile FX conversions.
- Support audit requirements by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
- Keep records in Zoho Books clean and consistent, so reports and dashboards stay reliable.
- Use AI tools to improve accuracy and speed of recurring accounting tasks.
- Maintain clear, professional written communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients over email.
Early Impact
- Weeks 1-2: Understand our accounting systems, chart of accounts, compliance calendar, and ongoing processes.
- By ~60 days: Independently manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and routine compliance filings with minimal supervision.
- By ~90 days: Own the monthly close process end-to-end, including PL/Balance Sheet preparation, and proactively flag compliance deadlines, cash flow gaps, and budget variances before theyre asked about.
Must-haves
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
- Proven experience managing books for multiple organizations/entities simultaneously , keeping each set of accounts separate and accurate.
- Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books (or equivalent accounting software).
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, reconciliations, reporting).
- Practical experience with GST and TDS compliance, including quarterly TDS filings.
- Experience preparing PL statements, Balance Sheets, projections, and budgets .
- Good understanding of cash flow - tracking inflows/outflows and anticipating shortfalls.
- Experience maintaining a Chart of Accounts .
- Experience with payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Experience with Asset Management (fixed asset tracking, depreciation).
- Working knowledge of Professional Tax, PF, Gratuity, and Shop Establishment compliance.
- Comfort using AI tools to support accounting workflows.
- Strong written communication skills, especially over email.
- Someone who takes ownership of the numbers, follows through without needing reminders, and is comfortable being the person others can rely on when it matters.
Good to Have
- Prior experience in a consulting or services firm billing international clients.
- Exposure to Income Tax filings and audit coordination.
- Experience working directly with external auditors, CAs, or compliance consultants.
- Experience handling client/vendor invoicing and receivables follow-up.
- Exposure to multi-currency accounting , particularly USD billing and FX reconciliation.
