Accounts And Finance Manager

Job Description: To manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensure timely statutory compliance, maintain strong financial controls, and provide accurate MIS, cashflow and profitability reporting to management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
• Manage the team for day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, general ledger, bank reconciliation and journal entries.
• Ensure monthly books are closed accurately and on time.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow statements.
• Monitor receivables, payables and ageing.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
2. MIS & Management Reporting
• Prepare monthly management MIS covering:
• Highlight variances and provide explanations/actions.
• Prepare business-unit-wise profitability reports.
3. Cash Flow & Treasury
• Prepare rolling cash-flow forecasts.
• Monitor daily bank balances and payment requirements.
• Plan vendor and statutory payments as per the instructions of GM Finance
• Track foreign-currency receipts/payments and export realizations.
• Coordinate with banks for trade finance, remittances and other banking requirements.
4. Export & International Accounting
• Verify export invoices, shipping documentation and accounting entries.
• Track export receivables and realization.
• Maintain records for applicable export incentives in coordination with the EXIM department
• Coordinate accounting for inter-company transactions with overseas entities.
• Assist in reconciliation of India US inter-company balances.
5. Tax & Statutory Compliance
• Ensure timely GST, TDS and other applicable statutory filings/payments.
• Maintain documentation required for tax assessments and audits.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on income-tax matters.
• Maintain compliance calendars and ensure no missed deadlines.
6. Budgeting & Cost Control
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and business plans.
• Track actuals against budget.
• Monitor overheads and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support costing and margin analysis for products/orders.
7. Internal Controls
• Maintain appropriate controls over payments, purchases, expenses and receivables.
• Verify supporting documents before processing payments.
• Ensure proper approval matrix is followed.
• Conduct periodic Ledger Scrutiny and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective action.
8. Audit & Compliance Support
• Coordinate statutory, tax and internal audits under the guidance of the General Manager
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
