Job description for experience candidate for accounting and financial reporting

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual book closure activities in SAP, ensuring accurate and timely accounting records.
• Prepare periodic MIS and management reports, perform variance analysis against prior periods, and provide detailed explanations for significant variances during the quarter and year.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for REIT entities and their SPVs, including relevant disclosures and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and analyse REIT-specific reporting metrics including:
• Net Operating Income (NOI)
• Net Distributable Cash Flows (NDCF)
• Distribution calculations
• Other REIT-related disclosures and reporting requirements
• Perform related party and intercompany reconciliations across SPVs and pass necessary adjustment entries.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, provisions, and period-end adjustments.
• Coordinate with auditors and support statutory, internal, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and reporting timelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA or equivalent qualification.
• 2-5 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit.
• Experience in REIT, real estate accounting will be preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel.
• Good understanding of Ind AS, financial statement preparation, lease accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience in preparing NOI, NDCF, lease, security deposit, rent accrual, depreciation, and amortisation workings.
