Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage daily accounting operations, GST compliance, ledger reconciliation, financial reporting, and documentation. Candidates with experience in steel, manufacturing, or trading industries will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting entries, journal vouchers, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and vendor/customer reconciliations.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS) and monitor outstanding balances.
• Assist in GST returns, TDS compliance, and input tax credit reconciliation.
• Verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and payment documents.
• Maintain inventory and stock reconciliation records related to steel purchases and sales.
• Monitor freight, transportation, and other operational expenses.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports, expense statements, and account summaries.
• Support internal audits, statutory audits, and month-end closing activities.
• Work on accounting software/ERP such as SAP, Tally, and MS Excel.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com or MBA Finance preferred.
• 25 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting principles, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP.
• Experience in steel, manufacturing, or trading companies will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
