Accountant

Job Overview

A Junior Accountant provides foundational financial support by processing daily transactions, updating ledger entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting senior accounting staff with financial reporting and audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing: Record daily receipts, invoices, and payments in the accounting system.

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process incoming invoices, track client billing, and issue payment reminders.

Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with general ledger records on a routine basis.

Month-End Support: Assist senior accountants in gathering schedules, receipts, and documents for monthly closures.

Record Keeping: Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for audit readiness and tax compliance.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com).

Technical Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and entry-level accounting tools (e.g., Tally, or ERP basics).
