The Vedritam Group (formerly DAV Group) - Chennai was established in 1970 at Gopalapuram, Chennai, with just 50 students. Today, the Group caters to over 40,000 students across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and has a staff strength of over 2,000, including 1,700 teachers. In this context, we are looking for a qualified, detail-oriented, and responsible Accountant for Vedritam Vidyalaya, Dholera, Gujarat . The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of accounting procedures, good computer skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records and handle day-to-day accounting activities.
Educational qualification
- B.Com. or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily financial transactions and accounting records.
- Handle fee collection, receipts, payments, and related documentation.
- Prepare and maintain Excel sheets, financial reports, and statements.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and monthly account summaries.
- Maintain invoices, vouchers, bills, and supporting documents.
- Assist with budgeting, audits, and other accounting activities.
- Ensure accurate record keeping and timely financial reporting.
Experience Skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial documentation.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in financial record keeping.
- 23 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in a school or educational institution will be an added advantage.
Salary shall commensurate with experience
