Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, GST and TDS compliance, bank reconciliation, and preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily financial transactions accurately in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9 or similar accounting software
• Prepare and post journal entries, vouchers, and ledger entries
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor and customer reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliation and maintain cash book records
• Assist in GST return preparation and filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ITC reconciliation
• Support TDS calculation, deduction, deposit, and return filing
• Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports, trial balance, and financial statements
• Support statutory, internal, and tax audits by preparing schedules and documents
• Maintain proper filing of invoices, bills, and supporting documents
• Assist with fixed asset register, depreciation, and provisions
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external auditors/consultants
• Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities
