Accountant

An accountant manages financial records, prepares reports, and ensures compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and income statements.
• Transactions & Reconciliations: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Closing Processes: Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Taxation: Compute taxes, prepare returns, and ensure timely payments.
• Auditing & Compliance: Review financial documents for discrepancies and assist with internal or external audits.
• Budgeting: Assist management with financial forecasts and budgeting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting tools like QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and strong mathematical skills.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and clear communication.
• Certifications: Professional credentials like a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA are often preferred
