Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities of the school, including receipts, payments, vouchers, and ledger entries.
• Maintain accurate records of school income, expenses, fees, and other financial transactions.
• Handle student fee collection, fee receipts, outstanding fee tracking, and reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain daily, monthly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage cash and bank transactions, including bank reconciliation and petty cash.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Verify invoices, bills, purchase documents, and payment requests.
• Process salary and payroll-related accounting entries and coordinate with HR when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory requirements.
• Assist in budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial planning.
• Coordinate with management, vendors, parents, and staff regarding financial matters.
• Ensure timely payment of school expenses, vendor bills, utilities, and other operational expenses.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial information.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records and documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, taxation, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare MIS reports and provide financial information to school management as required.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the management.
