Accountant - Accounts Payable

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Invoice Verification: Process incoming vendor invoices by validating against Purchase Orders (PO), Service Entry Sheets (SES), or Work Orders (3-Way Matching).
• Taxation at Source: Check correct applicability of TDS under sections 194C, 194J, 194Q, etc., and verify applicability of GST Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM).
• Vendor Ledger Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date vendor files, issue Debit/Credit Notes for damaged goods or contractual penalties, and resolve billing disputes.
• Payment Execution: Prepare vendor payout lists based on credit terms; upload bulk NEFT/RTGS payments on corporate banking portals.
• Vendor Reconciliations: Perform regular ledger reconciliations with vendor statement of accounts and clear unadjusted advances.
• GSTR-2B Matching: Coordinate with the tax team to perform monthly vendor bill matching against GSTR-2B to ensure maximum Input Tax Credit (ITC) claim.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / BBA.
• Experience: 25 years of focused experience in Accounts Payable and vendor accounting.
• Software: Proficiency in Tally Prime / SAP AP Module, MS Excel, and internet banking portals.
• Skills: Strong numerical accuracy, process adherence, and good interpersonal skills for vendor interaction.
