Role & responsibilities

End-to-End Accounting & Monthly Close

• Own the complete accounting cycle, from transaction recording through final financial statements.
• Lead and complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing within agreed timelines.
• Prepare, review, and post all recurring and adjusting journal entries, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, depreciation, reclassifications, reversals, and period-end adjustments.

Maintain and reconcile all balance-sheet accounts, including cash, bank, receivables, payables, loans, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, and clearing accounts

Intercompany Accounting

• Record, monitor, and reconcile all intercompany transactions, including shared expenses, management fees, rent, advances, loans, interest, and service charges.
• Ensure due-to/due-from balances agree across all group entities and are resolved before close.

Prepare intercompany elimination entries for consolidation.

Payroll & Salary Accounting

• Manage end-to-end salary accounting, including payroll journal entries, salary provisions, bonuses, incentives, reimbursements, and related accruals.
• Reconcile payroll registers with the general ledger, bank payments, statutory deductions, and employee-benefit liabilities.
• Account for statutory liabilities such as TDS, PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, and other applicable payroll-related obligations.

Compliance, Controls & Audit

• Ensure accounting records comply with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, documentation standards, and accounting procedures.
• Support internal and statutory audits by providing reconciliations, schedules, vouchers, and clarifications.

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA Inter / CPA / CMA / MBA Finance is preferred.
• [812] years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong hands-on experience in general ledger and journal entries, monthly and year-end closing, intercompany accounting and reconciliations, payroll/salary accounting, balance-sheet reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Tally,
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliation formats.
• Strong understanding of accrual accounting, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and closing entries.
• Excellent attention to detail, ownership, analytical ability, and ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Experience handling multiple entities, group accounting, or consolidation.
• Knowledge of Indian direct and indirect tax compliance, including TDS, GST, PF, ESI, and professional tax.
• Exposure to audits, internal controls, and process automation.
