Account Manager I

BASIC SUMMARY:

We're seeking a self-motivated person who can operate with minimal oversight and can drive results within their respective regions. As a Account Manager I / Business Development Executive, you will be seen as an official representative of Charles River and will be an integral part of the success of the organization

Role & responsibilities

• Would be required to introduce the Microbial product line to target customers
• Interface with the customers through more of commercial and technical support both on-site as well as off-site
• Build relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of company products and services.
• Communicate available products and services and inform customers of new products and services in a timely manner.
• Handle initial inquiries and qualify all prospective opportunities.
• Effectively utilize CRM (SFDC) to capture customer information to included but not limited to accurate pipelines and effective opportunity management and activity documentation.
• Generate account-specific sales to sell all company products and services.
• Will be responsible for the Business Development of innovative Microbial Solutions portfolio.
• Will be expected to maintain existing accounts and further maximize opportunities within the established territory through market research and sales activities.
• Complete all required sales documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in sales meetings and trade shows as required.
• Share customer problems/concerns with all appropriate departments for quality resolution.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology, Biotechnology / Bio-Chemistry / Biology / Life Science
• Experience: 2 to 5 years experience
• Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in the use of standard office computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, e-mail).
• This position requires travel
• Candidates must have a fairly good technical background as this profile would be techno-commercial in nature.
