Account Executive

Job Description:

1.Day-to-Day Accounting

• Maintain daily accounting records and ensure accurate entries in the accounting software.
• Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and expense transactions.
• Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions.
• Ensure timely updating of books of accounts.

2. Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Manage vendor invoices, bills, and payment schedules.
• Verify invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up for timely collections.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.

3. GST and TDS Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Verify GST invoices and ensure proper input tax credit reconciliation.
• Calculate and assist in TDS deductions and timely deposit of TDS.
• Maintain records of GST and TDS transactions and supporting documents.

4. Bank Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
• Verify bank transactions, payment receipts, and outstanding entries.
• Maintain accurate records of bank statements and financial transactions.

5. Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly reports related to sales, expenses, outstanding payments, and collections.
• Assist in preparing profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
• Maintain expense records and support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Provide financial data and reports to management as required.

6. Expense Management

• Verify employee reimbursement claims, travel expenses, and other company expenses.
• Ensure expenses are supported by valid bills and approvals.
• Monitor company expenses and maintain proper expense records.
• Assist in preparing monthly expense statements.

7. Inventory and Purchase Accounting

• Coordinate with the operations and purchase teams to verify purchase invoices.
• Maintain accounting records related to inventory purchases and stock movements.
• Reconcile purchase records with vendor statements.
• Assist in tracking inventory-related expenses and discrepancies.

8. Audit and Documentation

• Maintain financial records, invoices, vouchers, and other supporting documents.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing the required financial information.
• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting documents.
• Support statutory audits and tax-related assessments.

9. Coordination and Administrative Support

• Coordinate with vendors, customers, banks, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
• Follow up on pending invoices, payments, and collections.
• Support management with financial information and accounting reports.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks.
