About the Role

Bangalore Hospice Trust – Karunashraya is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, handling day-to-day transactions, managing statutory compliance, and preparing analytical reports to support organizational operations.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process daily transactions, vendor payments, and client/donor invoicing; monitor outstanding balances and ensure timely collections and payments.
• Statutory & Tax Compliance: Manage end-to-end GST processes, including calculating tax liabilities, maintaining compliant records, and completing timely filings.
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain clean, up-to-date, and organized books of accounts within Tally.
• Reporting & Data Analysis: Utilize Advanced Excel functions to generate regular financial summaries, cost analyses, and management reports.
• Banking & Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations, verify statement details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate general ledger maintenance.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience in core accounting roles.
• Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in Tally and Advanced Excel (including formulas, tables, and reporting tools).
• Taxation Knowledge: Functional working knowledge of GST regulations and filing processes.
• Core Skills: Strong numerical capability, attention to detail, and sound understanding of basic accounting principles and ledger balancing.
