Academic Counsellor

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face, telephonic, and virtual counselling sessions with prospective students and parents.
• Assess student goals and recommend suitable Career Launcher classroom, online, or test-series programs for CLAT, CAT, IPMAT, and related exams.
• Handle end-to-end lead conversionfrom initial inquiry and demo class scheduling to follow-ups and final fee enrollment.
• Maintain a high conversion rate on assigned leads generated via walk-ins, digital marketing, website inquiries, and outreach campaigns.
• Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents by providing clear, honest, and expert guidance regarding exam patterns, career scopes, and top colleges.
• Utilize CRM tools to log inquiries, update student interaction records, track lead statuses, and manage follow-up pipelines.
• Collaborate with center academic heads and faculty to coordinate demo classes, workshop participation, and mock test events.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 0 to 2 years of proven experience in Academic Counselling, Course Sales, Admission Counselling, or Inside Sales (preferably in the EdTech, Test-Prep, or Higher Education sector).
• Domain Familiarity: Basic awareness of entrance exams like CAT, CLAT, IPMAT, or CUET is a strong plus.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication along with fluency in the regional language.
• Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills, active listening, consultative selling approach, and target-driven mindset.
• Tech-Savvy: Hands-on experience working with CRMs, Excel, and lead management software.
