Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment).
• Develop data integration pipelines using Ab Initio components to extract, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
• Build and maintain graphs using components such as Reformat, Join, Rollup, Sort, Dedup Sorted, Lookup, Filter by Expression, and Partition components.
• Develop ETL jobs to process large volumes of structured and semi-structured data efficiently.
• Work with various data sources, including relational databases, flat files, CSV, delimited files, and mainframe data.
• Write and optimize transformation logic using Ab Initio components and the Ab Initio programming language (DML).
• Implement data validation, cleansing, deduplication, and reconciliation to maintain data quality.
• Develop and maintain reusable graphs, parameterized jobs, and common transformation components.
• Schedule and execute ETL workflows using enterprise scheduling tools and manage job dependencies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data integration processes.
• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio GDE for designing, developing, and debugging ETL graphs.
• Knowledge of core Ab Initio components, including Reformat, Join, Rollup, Sort, Filter by Expression, Lookup, and Dedup Sorted.
• Understanding of Ab Initio DML (Data Manipulation Language) for defining record layouts and data structures.
• Experience with Ab Initio EME for metadata management, version control, and code promotion.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, CTEs, aggregations, and analytical functions.
