Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant to join our growing SAP practice. As an SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant at Capgemini, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP Business Workflow solutions to automate business processes and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants, business users, and technical teams to deliver innovative workflow-based solutions across SAP landscapes.

As an SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant, you will:

• Design, develop, and implement SAP Business Workflow solutions to automate end-to-end business processes.
• Configure and develop workflow components including Tasks, Standard Tasks, Workflows, Events, Methods, Rule Resolution, and Agents.
• Create and enhance Business Objects (BOR) and ABAP OO-based workflow objects.
• Develop custom workflow functionalities using ABAP programming techniques, User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancements, and Function Modules.
• Configure event management and workflow triggering mechanisms using change documents, business transactions, and custom events.
• Develop and troubleshoot workflow notifications, work items, inbox configurations, and approval processes.
• Integrate workflows with SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, CO, HCM, and SRM based on business requirements.
• Perform workflow administration activities including monitoring, debugging, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Work with functional consultants and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical workflow solutions.
• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, best practices, and quality processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP Workflow Development.
• Expertise in SAP Business Workflow configuration and development.
• Experience with BOR (Business Object Repository) and ABAP OO Workflow.
• Good knowledge of Workflow Administration, Event Management, Agent Determination, and Rule Resolution.
• Strong ABAP development skills including Reports, Enhancements, BAdIs, User Exits, Function Modules, and Object-Oriented ABAP.
• Experience in workflow debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA workflow framework will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Role & responsibilities
