ABAP Developer

IMEA (India, Middle East, Africa) India LIXIL INDIA PVT LTD Employee Assignment Fully remote possible Full Time 2 February 2026 This position requires candidate to work 11:30 AM/ 12 PM IST overlapping European time zone Key Responsibilities End-to-End Application Development

• Hands‑on experience designing, developing, and supporting integration topics such as OData, CDS view, IDOC, SOAP, RFC. And better to have AIF, CFL experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, integrations, enhancements, and forms according to business requirements
• Design and develop full-stack applications from SAP backend (ABAP) to frontend (Fiori/UI5)
• Apply performance optimization techniques for both backend and frontend components
• Implement proper error handling and logging mechanisms across the application stack Clean Core Implementation
• Apply the Clean Core strategy to maintain a system architecture free from unnecessary customizations
• Develop extensions that are strictly separate from the SAP standard application
• Implement cloud-compliant extensions and integrations that support future upgradability
• Understand and apply side-by-side extensibility concepts using SAP BTP
• Ensure modifications follow the Clean Core principles to reduce technical debt
• Apply appropriate extension methods based on business requirements (in-app, side-by-side, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Additional SAP certifications are a plus Technical Skills
• 7+ years of experience in ABAP development including:
• Core ABAP programming (WRICEF, BAPI, ALE/IDocs, RFC, etc.)
• Object-Oriented ABAP
• SAP Fiori/UI5 development
• ABAP CDS Views and OData services
• ABAP on HANA optimization techniques
• SAP Gateway
• WebDynpro ABAP (desirable)
• Proficiency in performance analysis and optimization tools
• Knowledge of SAP BTP and extensibility options
• Experience with ABAP Unit Testing and Code Inspector
