Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Application Support Lead with 9-14 years of experience in ETL and Data Warehouse application support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading production support activities, managing critical incidents, ensuring SLA adherence, driving problem management, and providing technical leadership for Ab Initio-based data processing applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead L2/L3 production support for Ab Initio applications and ETL processes.
• Monitor and support critical batch processing, data integration, and reporting workflows.
• Manage and resolve high-priority incidents, major outages, and data issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure adherence to SLA, KPI, and operational excellence standards.
• Coordinate with development, infrastructure, database, and business teams for issue resolution.
• Oversee application releases, deployments, and production cutover activities.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve support efficiency.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Ab Initio jobs and workflows.
• Manage incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
• Lead production readiness reviews and operational governance meetings.
• Mentor and guide junior support team members.
• Prepare support metrics, dashboards, and management reports.
• Participate in on-call support and weekend deployment activities as required.

Required Skills

• 9-14 years of IT experience with strong expertise in Ab Initio Application Support.

• Strong experience in ETL Production Support and Data Warehouse environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for batch failures, data discrepancies, and performance issues.
• Strong SQL experience with databases such as Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux administration and Shell Scripting.
• Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Tivoli.
• Strong knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
• Experience in handling business-critical applications with 24x7 support models.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), Retail, or Healthcare domains.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of Informatica, DataStage, Talend, or other ETL tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or ELK.
• ITIL Certification is preferred.
• Experience leading support teams and stakeholder management.
