3D Cad Designer- Solid Work

Role & responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings for furniture products.
• Create production-ready designs using SolidWorks (or other 3D CAD software).
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Design furniture using solid wood, plywood, veneers, laminates, metal, glass, and hardware.
• Create detailed joinery, assembly, and exploded-view drawings.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Modify existing designs based on customer requirements, production feedback, or product improvements.
• Support prototype development and product testing.
• Maintain design revisions and engineering documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• 25 years of experience in furniture or product design.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage).
• Good understanding of furniture construction, woodworking, joinery, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, and fittings.
• Ability to create detailed production drawings with high accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
